Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah offers annually many scholarships for the bachelor’s and master’s levels, as the villages scholarship will be open to students from all countries of the world who wish to study the Arabic language and the foundations and teachings of Islamic law.
It is the department concerned with serving all non-Saudi students who are regular and studying at the university at all university levels.

The Umm AlQura University offers various scholarships which can be classified into two types:

  • Internal grants (for any interested students who are non-Saudi students but resides in the Kingdom of Saudi with a legitimate residency), and
  • External scholarships (for interested candidates who are also non-Saudi citizens but reside outside the Saudi Kingdom).

The learnings at Umm AlQura university under the scholarship sponsorship are partially free or paid in accordance with the dictates controlled by the institution council, and in a style that seems not to collide with the ordinances administering this.

Umm Al-Qura University Scholarships for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Established in 1981, Umm Al-Qura University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the large city of Makkah (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Education, Saudi Arabia, Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: over-45,000 students) coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • The student who wants to apply should not be less than 17 years old, on the other hand, his age must not more than 25 years old.
  • That learner should not have got a different scholarship from any educative school in the Kingdom of Saudi.
  • The candidate should on no account been dropped out from any educational institution in the Kingdom.
  • That he passed the medical examination determined by the university.
  • Umm Al-Qura University may expect a student’s reference from an individual of the bodies, institutions, or personalities designated by the institution.
  • The applicant must be medically fit.
  • He must be of good conduct

Offered Benefits

The government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provides scholarships for non-Saudis to study in Saudi universities, and government grants are of two types:
1- Internal scholarships for non-Saudi students residing in the Kingdom with a legal residency.
2- External scholarships for non-Saudi students from outside the Kingdom.
