Eligibility for the scholarship requires applicants to be international undergraduate students enrolled full-time at the University of Florida. Students must hold a non-immigrant F-1 or J-1 visa, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0, and be in good academic standing. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, community service, and a commitment to advancing global citizenship.The University of Florida (UF) is a leading public research institution located in Gainesville, Florida. Each of the five recipients will receive a $1,000 award and will be publicly recognized with a plaque during the awards ceremony.
Application Process
Students must be nominated by their respective college. The nomination process will vary by college, and students should consult with their nominator, advisors, or professors for guidance. The nomination package must include the following:
• A letter of support
• A 600-word essay or statement addressing how the student contributes to UF’s global mission of teaching, research, and service
• A current C.V.
