UBC Outstanding International Student Award in Canada for Course Established in 1908, The University of British Columbia is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Vancouver (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), British Columbia. Eligibility Criteria

Acceptable Course or Subjects: Undergraduate degree program in any subject offered by the university.
Admissible Criteria: To be considered for the Karen McKellin International Leader of Tomorrow Award:

  • Be new to UBC, entering directly from secondary school or post-secondary (university or college).
  • Be an international student studying at UBC on a Canadian study permit (student visa). (Changes to your citizenship status will affect your scholarship eligibility.)
  • Demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and strong extracurricular involvement.

Offered Benefits

The University of British Columbia will provide an award amount to the sucessful candidates for the academic session 2024/2025.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: In order to be receiving this fund, candidates are requested to get  admission at UBC. After that, you will be automatically considered for the OIS Award.
  • Admision requirements:  Candidates demonstrate superior academic achievement (‘A’ average or equivalent standing) and meet UBC’s other competitive admission requirements.
  • Language Requirements: Applicants from outside the home country will often need to  meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.
