Aalborg University is offering two fully-funded PhD positions in Quantum Computing and Machine Learning. These prestigious scholarships provide a unique chance to work on cutting-edge research combining quantum circuits and machine learning techniques.

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in the field of quantum computing and machine learning
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
    • Hold a Master’s degree in computer science or a closely related field (e.g., mathematics)
    • Strong background in one or more areas: quantum computing, machine learning, or formal methods
    • Proficiency in Python (preferably in Qiskit and PyTorch/TensorFlow)
    • Additional knowledge in areas like deep learning, reinforcement learning, tensor networks, decision diagrams, or formal verification is appreciated
    • Excellent communication skills in English.

Offered Benefits

The selected PhD candidates will receive fully-funded scholarships, including a stipend for a period of 3 years. They will be enrolled in the Technical Doctoral School of IT and Design at Aalborg University, working on cutting-edge research in quantum computing and machine learning, with potential applications in quantum chemistry and optimization.
