TMCF | Sallie Mae Fund Completing Dream Gap Scholarships in USA for Course

Are you nearing the end of your educational journey but facing financial barriers? The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and The Sallie Mae Fund are here to help! The Completing the Dream Gap Scholarship is offering $2,500 to 200 deserving students enrolled in two-year, four-year, or vocational/technical programs for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents enrolled full-time or part-time at an accredited post-secondary institution or continuous education program. Eligible students should be on track to complete their degree or program by the end of Spring 2025, maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75, and belong to a diverse group, including but not limited to gender, disability, race, ethnicity, or underserved communities.The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) was founded in 1987 to provide support and financial assistance to students attending historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and predominantly Black institutions (PBIs). Named after the first African-American Supreme Court Justice, Thurgood Marshall, the organization’s mission is to promote educational excellence and support the advancement of underrepresented students in higher education.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: United States
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship is available for students completing any subject or certification program offered by an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Admissible Criteria:
    • Enrolled full-time or part-time at an accredited post-secondary institution or continuous education program (two-year, four-year, vocational/technical).
    • Will complete their degree or program by the end of the Spring 2025 semester (Fall 2024 or Spring 2025).
    • Current cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
    • Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.
    • Must identify as a diverse candidate (gender, disability, race, ethnicity, underserved community).
    • Demonstrate leadership abilities.
    • Exhibit good moral character in all aspects of life (personal, professional, educational, community, and online presence).

Offered Benefits

Selected students will receive a gap scholarship of $2,500 for the 2024-2025 academic school year to help address financial needs or emergency situations that may prevent them from completing their education.
