Three PhD Positions in History and Philosophy of Physics, Biology and Science, Netherlands Established in 1636, Universiteit Utrecht (Utrecht University) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Utrecht (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants). Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities are eligible to apply.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by Utrecht University.
  • Admissible Criteria: Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject, such as history or philosophy of physics or biology, or in general philosophy of science. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in collaborative team research, possess excellent English language skills, and ideally have a working knowledge of other relevant languages such as Danish and German.

  1. A motivation letter addressing your interest in and suitability for the PhD position, specifically discussing topics, questions, or ideas that align with the BOHR21 project.
  2. A comprehensive CV, including the topic of your Master’s thesis.

  4. An official list of Master’s grades.
  5. A representative writing sample, such as an extract from your Master’s thesis or a paper you have written.
  6. Two confidential reference letters, to be emailed directly to before the deadline.
