Think Big is the University of Bristol’s flagship scholarship scheme, providing funding towards tuition fees for international students studying eligible undergraduate or postgraduate courses.
University of Bristol Information
Established in 1909, University of Bristol is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Bristol (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), South West England. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, University of Bristol (UoB) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Bristol (UoB) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 110 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.
Eligibility Criteria
You can apply if you:
- have already applied to start an eligible course in September 2026;
- and you are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes.
You do not need to have received an offer to study before submitting an international scholarship application.
Undergraduate
- To be eligible for the University's undergraduate scholarships, you must:
- have applied for a full-time in-person undergraduate course at the University of Bristol
- courses in Bristol Dental School and Bristol Medical School are not eligible
- be an overseas student for fee-paying purposes
- have received an offer to study at the University of Bristol before Friday 24 April 2026
- if you have not, we will withdraw your scholarship application
- meet or exceed the entry requirements as stated in your formal UCAS offer before 31 August 2026
- you must also confirm the University of Bristol as your Firm choice offer in UCAS.
Postgraduate
- To be eligible for the University's postgraduate scholarships, you must:
- have applied to any full-time, in-person master's programme at the University of Bristol
- be an overseas student for fee-paying purposes
- have received an offer to study at the University of Bristol before Friday 24 April 2026
- if you have not, we will withdraw your scholarship application
- meet or exceed the entry requirements as stated by the University of Bristol.
- If you have more than one study offer, you must choose one for your scholarship application. If you do not choose by the deadline, it may make your application ineligible.
- Scholarship awards are valid for entry in September 2026 only. You cannot defer them to a later year. If you choose to defer your place at the University, we cannot transfer your scholarship.
