The RGJ—Ph.D. program was initiated in 1996 to commemorate the Fiftieth Anniversary of His Majesty the King's accession to the throne. Since its inception, the program has awarded approximately 300
Ph.D.’s fellowships each year and it has become the country's principal and best know researchers’ training scheme. Throughout the years, the program has created and fostered international research collaborations among Thai and oversea universities in over 40 countries around the world.
