Sponsored by the American Architectural Foundation and The French Heritage Society as part of a commitment to stewardship of American and French heritage, the Richard Morris Hunt Fellowship is awarded to architects pursuing a career in historic preservation. It permits young architects from France and the United States to observe and practice the latest preservation technologies and techniques in each other´s countries. The recipients have demonstrated that they are among the best that their countries have to offer in the preservation field.

The Hunt Fellowship alternates each year between a French and an American architect and carries a stipend of $25,000.
A $5.000 PRIZE TO A RMH PRIZE SCHOLAR
Awarded to an architect, alternatively French or American, specialized in preservation open to the techniques of today, the $5.000 Prize offers an opportunity to travel for a 5 weeks period in the United States or in France.
A $20.000 PRIZE TO A RMH PRIZE FELLOWThis prestigious $20,000 award offers motivated architects, specialized in preservation open to the techniques of today, an opportunity to travel for six months, divided in 2 or 3 periods, in the United States or in France.
It is a total immersion, for research of the topic presented by the Laureate. All along his research, he will receive the backing of the RMH Prize Teams of both countries
