Offered Benefits
The value of the bursary for each recipient will be up to $6,000 based on criteria such as, but not limited to, total available funding, grades, number of credits enrolled, and period of enrolment. An unlimited number of bursaries are available and will be applied to tuition fees only.
- a) Students progressing from the NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) to Year 1 of all bachelor’s degrees at the University of Waikato will be awarded a Bursary of NZ$6,000 over two years tenure. Students will receive NZ$3,000 in their first year of study (Year 1) and, after having passed all papers in their first year, will receive NZ$3,000 in their second year of study (Year 2).
- b) Students progressing from the NCUK International Year One (IYOne) to Year 2 of Business and Engineering bachelor’s degrees at the University of Waikato will be awarded a Bursary of NZ$5,000 over two years of tenure. Students will receive NZ$2,500 in their first year of study (Year 2) and, after having passed all papers in their first year, will receive NZ$2,500 in their second year of study (Year 3).
- c) Students progressing from the NCUK Master’s Preparation Program (PMP) to all master’s degrees of 120pts1 or more at the University of Waikato will be awarded a bursary of NZ$5,000.
