Makerere University entered a partnership with The MasterCard Foundation to offer The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at the University from 2013 to 2023.
The education program is open for youth from Africa to study at the university. The aim of this award is to develop the next generation of African Leaders and also to promote the strategic objectives of the University and the Foundation in contributing to Africa’s higher education sector and development.
Makerere University is one of the oldest and most prestigious Universities. The College soon began offering various other courses in Medical Care, Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences and Teacher Training.
