A scholarship has been established by a group of friends and colleagues, as well as KLS alumni, to commemorate the life and work of the former Kent Law Clinic Legal Director Larry Grant, who died suddenly in 2003.
This scholarship will support students at Kent Law School who intend, as part of an MPhil or LLM (by Research) degree, to carry out research in the areas of clinical legal education, human rights or immigration.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should normally have obtained, or be about to obtain an undergraduate degree of at least Upper Second Class Honours level (2:1 or equivalent from other countries), or a postgraduate degree with Merit or Distinction.
Offered Benefits
The successful applicant will receive a scholarship of up to 1500 per year. The funding will be available for one year in the first instance, extended for a second year providing verifiable progress has been made in research. The Law School is contributing to this scholarship by waiving tuition fees for the holder of the scholarship.
