Taiwan Ministry of Education Scholarships for South and Southeast Asian Students Founded in 1940, National Pingtung University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Pingtung City (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Pingtung County. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan), National Pingtung University (NPTU) is a small (uniRank enrollment range: 3,000-3,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. National Pingtung University (NPTU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by the university
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the given criteria:
  • Doctoral or master degree-seeking applicants who are currently university lecturers or professors in Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan.

Offered Benefits

Taiwan Ministry will provide the award amount of NTD 25,000 per month (NTD300,000 per year) for students.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Applicants must have to enroll in the degree programme at Taiwan University. Submit all application materials to Sonia Lee at [email protected]
  • Supporting Documents: Attach the CV and lecturer certificate in order to apply for the programme
  • Admission Requirements: Students must hold a previous degree certificate with remarkable results.
  • Language Requirement: Aspirants must have knowledge of the English language.
