Offered Benefits
Ministry of Foreign Affairs Taiwan (MOFA) will provide a monthly scholarship of NTD 20,000 from September 2023 – January 2024. Every student can apply and receive the scholarship once. The scholarship quotas are adjusted on a yearly basis (depending on MOFA’s budget).

- How to Apply: Interested applicants should send the complete application, including an application form, a transcript of academic records, and a copy of their passport, via
- Applicants must apply to study at NTHU in Taiwan. The admission deadline for undergraduates is 17 January 2023, and for graduate study is 21 February 2023.
- Supporting Documents: Transcripts and a copy of your passport are required. The recipient should submit a report of experience-sharing feedback in the format of a graphic or audiovisual record.
- For admission: Applicants must submit the following:
- An online application form: Complete and print out the online application form at National Tsing Hua University Online Application for International Students
- A photocopy of a diploma/degree in English or Chinese
- Official transcripts in English or Chinese
- Statement of purpose
- Two recommendation letters
- Financial certificate
- Declaration form
- Verification of nationality: provide a copy of their passport

- Pretest: only for bachelor program (Applicants for Bachelor programs must download the Pretest Instructions from Online Application System and submit the pretest (if any).)
- Admission Requirements: The recipient must undertake at least 1 Chinese learning course (2 credits) each semester at NTHU Chinese Language Center and must meet the program’s eligibility requirements. Applicants must meet all the program-specific requirements: Graduate and Undergraduate.
- Language Requirement: Applicants must have Proficiency in English and fulfilling one of the following requirements:
- TOEFL iBT 61, TOEIC 520, or IELTS 5 (for both graduate and undergraduate study)
