Sydney Scholars Awards for International Undergraduate Students for Bachelor Established in 1989, Western Sydney University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Penrith (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), New South Wales. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Bankstown, Nirimba, Campbelltown, Hawkesbury, Liverpool City, Parramatta South, Parramatta City, Penrith, Sydney City, Sydney Olympic Park, Westmead. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Department of Education and Training, Australia, Western Sydney University (WSU) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 40,000-44,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Western Sydney University (WSU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

You must:

  • Be a domestic student or an onshore international student who is due to complete or recently completed an Australian Year 12 qualification such as the HSC or an equivalent qualification such as the International Baccaulaureate
  • Be applying for admission through UAC
  • Have achieved an ATAR of 95 to 99.85 or equivalent
  • Apply in the year that you complete your secondary education (if you are offered a Sydney Scholars Award, you may defer it for up to two years).

Note: Domestic students with excellent academic ability experiencing financial hardship or other disadvantages may also choose to apply for the  Sydney Scholars Awards on equity and hardship grounds.

Offered Benefits

 The Sydney Scholars Award is valued at $6,000 and is tenable for one year of an undergraduate degree.
