Swansea University 2023 Eira Davies Scholarships for Developing Countries for Master


The Eira Francis Davies Scholarship is a full tuition fee scholarship ordinarily awarded to one outstanding female student per academic year. The student must be a national of and resident in an eligible developing country, who pursues a postgraduate taught Master’s programme within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Science.

Swansea University 2023 Eira Davies Scholarships for Developing Countries for Master Established in 1920, Swansea University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Swansea (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Wales. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, Swansea University is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Swansea University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 99 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Hold a minimum 2:1 Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Have an offer to study an eligible, full-time, postgraduate taught Masters program within the College of Human and Health Sciences at Swansea University.
  • Be female.
  • Be a new student to Swansea University from September 2023.
  • Within their application, demonstrate strong academic ability, financial plan to study and motivation for their chosen course at Swansea University.
  • Be a national, and permanent resident of an  Eira Francis Davies Eligible Countries 2023 as listed by the World Bank Country and Lending Groups classification as being 'low income' or 'lower-middle income' as of 1 July 2022.
  • Not receive any other financial support from Swansea University (e.g. tuition fee reduction, scholarship or bursary).
  • Not be a progressing student from The College, Swansea University.
