Technology and design always have been and always will be essential for society’s prosperity and well-being. Embracing this tenet as a call to action, SUTD will be a leading research-intensive global university focused on technology and all elements of technology-based design. The SUTD Asian Leadership Programme Scholarship promotes cross-cultural interactions with Zhejiang University (ZJU), one of the premier research institutions in China and the world. Through such exchanges, you network with their Chinese counterparts and gain synergies by sharing ideas and resources to produce life-changing technology that will impact generations. You will also have first-hand practical learning experience in an exciting region known for active entrepreneurship and innovation.
Additionally, you will have various opportunities to hone your leadership skills through participation in selected Fifth Row groups such as the University Ambassador and the Leadership Exploration and Development (LEAD).
The recipient is required to achieve and to maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.0 over 5.0 from Term 4 onwards, which is on track to at least an equivalent of a Magna Cum Laude Honours degree. The academic performance will be reviewed every term. Recipients are required to complete at least 20 hours of service to the university. They may take on the role of student ambassador, or any other similar role, representing SUTD to give publicity talks, to receive guests, etc., as and when called upon to do so.
