Summit Scholarship for International Students at the University of Oregon, USA for Bachelor Established in 1876, University of Oregon is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Eugene (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Oregon. University of Oregon (UO) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 143 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 70-80% making this US higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Home and International students are eligible to apply.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Undergraduate degree in any subject offered by the UO.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Students must have a Minimum 3.90 high school GPA on a 4.00 scale.
  • They did not attend another college after high school graduation.
  • Candidates must enroll at the UO in the fall term of their first year, and they must enroll in 12 University of Oregon credits each term to receive this award.

The University of Oregon will provide an award to Oregon’s top scholars of $20,000 over four years – $5,000 per year, and due to the difference in tuition, top non-resident scholars will receive $40,000 over four years – $10,000 per year (the annual award is split evenly over fall, winter & spring terms).

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Incoming first-year students are automatically considered for University Scholarships by completing the undergraduate admission. No separate Scholarship application is required for incoming first-year students.

  • Their cultural experiences
  • And the background, as well as personal interests, affiliations, and aspirations, will motivate
  • Commitment to meeting global challenges
  • Transcripts from the University of Oregon or the Most Recent Academic Institution
  • Two Letters of Recommendation
  • Admission Requirements: To accept the university, applicants must check the Country-Specific Requirements.
  • Language Requirement: If your native language is not English, you must submit standardized  language test scores.
