Student Grant Initiative

  •  Bachelor, Master, Grant
  •   Canada, United States

The Student Grant Initiative provides one-off contributions to help provide students with opportunities which will enhance their studies or personal development at Edinburgh Napier University. Awards are made in the following areas:

  • Travel, research, or study which is directly relevant to the student’s course of study or beneficial to personal development.
  • To provide ‘start-up’ funds for new initiatives which, if successful, are expected to become self-funding or be supported from other sources.
  • To support excellence in sport* or the creative arts.

*Sports Sciences students should apply directly to Susan Gray via email (s.gray@napier.ac.uk)

The grants are designed to support students financially with projects that they would not otherwise have the opportunity to undertake.

Priority is given to students who are undertaking exceptional projects that they have proactively organised, rather than students undertaking core University placements, or projects arranged through a commercial organisation.

Applications for awards of up to £1,000 per project are now invited from full-time students in second year or above, or from postgraduate students who have progressed straight from an undergraduate course at Edinburgh Napier.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility: Open to full time, matriculated Undergraduates in 2nd year and above, and to full time, matriculated Postgraduates who have completed their Undergraduate degree at Edinburgh Napier University.

Offered Benefits

Value per annum: £1,000 (maximum)
