SODA Scholarships in Hungary for Bachelor Founded in 1968, Széchényi István Egyetem (Széchenyi István University) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Gyor (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Gyor-Moson-Sopron. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Magyar Felsooktatási Akkreditációs Bizottság (Hungarian Accreditation Committee), Széchényi István Egyetem (SZE) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Széchényi István Egyetem (SZE) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 51 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All applicants from ODA recipient countries as per the OECD list.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for any English-taught Bachelors or Masters program at Széchenyi István University (excluding Double Degree programs).
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
  • Be a citizen of an ODA recipient country.
  • Have applied for an international degree program at Széchenyi István University.
  • Provide proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrate academic excellence (GPA of 90-100% or A-A+).
  • Submit a motivation letter and proof of participation in extracurricular activities.
  • Meet all visa requirements and comply with Hungarian regulations.
  • Applicants must not already be enrolled in the same level of education at Széchenyi University.
