  • Eligible Course or Subjects:  Students can apply for a PhD project which is a part of the South Coast Biology Doctoral Training Partnership (SoCoBio) at the University of Kent. 
  • Eligibility Criteria:  To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must have sustained experience beyond their undergraduate degree level that is specifically relevant to biosciences research.

Offered Benefits

The candidates selected by the University of Kent will be awarded the following benefits: 

  • Support for their tuition fees, i.e. a minimum of £4,596 per year. 
  • A minimum ‘stipend‡ of £17,668 per year for their living costs, which is paid to them in regular instalments.

  • How to Apply: Students are requir ed to complete their admission application on the university  portal . Applications for this PhD project must be made on its designated  online application portal . 
  • Supporting Documents:  The applicants must provide the academic transcripts for the required qualification along with English language proficiency proof. 
  • Admission Requirements:  The applicants should have a BSc/MSci 2:1 and/or Masters (MSc or MRes) at Merit/Distinction level (>60%) and evidence of significant relevant professional experience equivalent to Masters level.
  • Language Requirement:  The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
