To be eligible for the Siddall Sheffield Scholarship 2026, applicants must be U.S. citizens who have previously studied in the U.S., are not UK residents, and have not lived in the UK. They must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferably with a GPA of 3.7 or higher, and must be accepted into a one-year full-time Engineering Master’s program at the University of Sheffield by the time the scholarship is awarded.

Siddall Sheffield Scholarships in UK for Master Founded in 1905, The University of Sheffield is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized city of Sheffield (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Yorkshire and the Humber. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, The University of Sheffield is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 25,000-29,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. The University of Sheffield offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: United States

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for one-year full-time Engineering Masters programmes in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sheffield.

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:

    • Be a U.S. citizen who has studied in the U.S., is a non-UK resident, and has not lived in the UK.

    • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field before departure to the UK.

    • Have a preferred GPA of 3.7 or higher.

    • Secure admission to a one-year full-time Engineering Master’s programme by the time the scholarship is awarded.

    • Submit an academic reference letter from a staff member at the relevant school.

    • Participate in an online interview if shortlisted.

    • Submit two 500-word essays—one on their research proposal and another on civic engagement.
