The SEED Center Network proudly announces a doctoral scholarship funded by DAAD and BMZ, available at JKUAT. The program supports research on decentralized electricity systems and sustainable energy policy. This four-year scholarship provides a monthly stipend and international mobility grants, starting January 2026.

The eligibility criteria for the scholarship require applicants to hold a master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields with a focus on energy or climate policy. Applicants must demonstrate an excellent academic record and have nationality from one of the eligible countries in the Global South. They should show strong motivation and a high interest in scientific work and writing.

SEED Center Network Doctoral Scholarship in Germany for PhD Founded in 1868, Technische Universität München (Technical University of Munich) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of München (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Bavaria. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Applicants must be nationals of countries in the Global South.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in Electrical Engineering or related fields, focusing on energy or climate policy, under the PhD program offered by JKUAT.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
  • Hold a Master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields.

  • Demonstrate an excellent academic record.

  • Show strong motivation and a deep interest in scientific research and writing.

  • Be committed to conducting interdisciplinary research on sustainable energies and entrepreneurship.

  • Be willing to engage in the activities of the SEED Center, including collaboration and exchange visits.
