Scorpion Cares has established a scholarship program to assist high school seniors, graduates or current college undergraduates who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
Four $10,000 scholarship awards will be distributed as follows:
Scorpion’s Women in Technology Scholarship
For women pursuing a career in technology
Scorpion’s Future Designers Scholarship
For anyone with the dreams of being a Web, Product or Brand designer
Scorpion’s Business Leadership Scholarship
For Black or African American students pursuing a business degree
Scorpion’s Community Impact Scholarship
For students who have made a positive impact in their community or plan to make a positive impact in their community
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants to the Scorpion Cares Scholarship Program must:
- Be high school seniors or graduates or current college undergraduates in the United States
- Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year
- Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
Employees and children of Scorpion and/or Scorpion Cares are ineligible to apply.
Offered Benefits
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $10,000 award.
Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Application Process
As part of your application, you must upload the following:
- A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken
- Photo or headshot
An unlisted YouTube link to a short two minute video will also be required. The video should address how this award could help you achieve your educational dreams.
Also, as part of your application, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than April 15, 2021 3:00 pm CT.
