Scholarship in Molecular Interactions of Pathogens with Biotic and Abiotic Surfaces

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates pursuing an M.D. degree should at least have passed the ’Physikum’ (’Erster Abschnitt der ärztlichen Prüfung’) or equivalent and should have obtained some laboratory experience.

M.D. Stipends:

These positions are for medical students who want to pursue an experimental thesis to achieve their M.D. degree. Candidates should have passed their ’Physikum/erster Abschnitt der ärztlichen Prüfung’ or equivalent and already have obtained some laboratory experience. The stipend is for one year and will be supported by a monthly stipend of app. € 643,--.

Research Internships:

These positions are for excellent undergraduates interested in obtaining laboratory experience in participating groups of the Graduate School. They are for 3 months and are supported with appr. € 348,-- /month.

Additional Funding:

To further enhance equal opportunities in the life sciences positions in the graduate colleges will be enhanced for families. In addition to the regular stipend a child allowance of 400,- €/month for one child and 100,- € for each additional child under the age of 18 will be granted. The maximal time of support can be prolonged for up to 12 months if the graduates live with their children in the same household.
