Scholarship for Early Childhood Education 2021/22 for Course

Eligibility Criteria

• Sri Lankan Citizen
• Age above 18 years old
• Pass in English and Mathematics/Science at GCE/IGCSE Ordinary Level Examination and 2 passes at GCE A/L or equivalent qualification and Proficiency in English language

Eligible programs:

• Diploma in Montessori & Primary Education - Royal Institute International School (https://royalinstitute.org/ami/)
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Primary Education - The Open University of Sri Lanka (https://www.ou.ac.lk/diploma-in-early-childhood-education-and-primary-education/)
• Early Childhood Education Course – Asian Lanka Pre - School Teacher Training Center (http://www.preschoolsrilanka.com/)
• Early Childhood Education Course – South Asian International Institute of Higher Education (SAIIHE) (http://saiihe.com/)
• Diploma in Early Childhood Development & Education– Mother’s Touch International Academy (MTIA) (https://mtia.motherstouchlk.com/)
• Or any other diploma offers by reputed and recognized organization. (Scholarship Committee will take final decision)

Offered Benefits

• Selected candidate will be able to follow a course (from the list given below), in part-time basis. Grant will cover 80% of the course fee and student shall pay remain as an upfront payment.
• Selected candidate will be getting an employment in the capacity of assistant teacher in full-time basis for 1-3 children in 2½-5 yeas age group. This include food, safe accommodation and LKR 8,000 pocket money per month.

Outcomes:

• Certified professional qualification from a reputed institute
• A recommendation letter for the full-time employment.
