As part of its collaboration with distinguished partner universities in Japan, RWTH Aachen University is offering six MIRAI scholarships for research stays abroad, each lasting a minimum of three months.
To be eligible for the RWTH Aachen University MIRAI Scholarship, applicants must be enrolled as master’s students or doctoral candidates at RWTH Aachen University. The scholarship is intended for research stays of at least three months at one of RWTH’s partner universities in Japan.RWTH Aachen University is the largest technical university in the country, with over 47,000 students enrolled in 144 study programs. Established as a public research institution, it is recognized for its strong emphasis on engineering and technology, consistently ranking among the top universities in Europe.

The scholarship provides funding of 3,000 Euros for a research stay of at least three months in Japan.

- CV/Resume
- Motivational letter and description of the research project at RWTH Aachen
- Confirmation of a supervisor from the partner university
- Academic record with grades
- Recommendation from a RWTH professor
