Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University offers numerous scholarships to candidates that have been successful in gaining acceptance onto the full-time MBA Programme. Students may apply for multiple scholarships but can only be awarded one.

Financing your MBA can be a challenge. RSM offers numerous scholarships to candidates that have been accepted onto the Full-time MBA programme. Below you will find a list of general and country-specific financial aid scholarships. It’s impossible to list every opportunity here, so we also suggest that you should research financial assistance offered from your own country. The information on RSM Scholarships and loans may be reviewed and updated throughout the year. Please revisit this part of our website for any amendments to our scholarship offerings. Candidates may apply for multiple scholarships but can only be awarded one and are offered discretionary by the RSM Scholarship Awards Committee.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be considered for the scholarship competition you must:

  • be a citizen or hold permanent residence status in one of the above listed countries;
  • completed and submitted your MBA application by 1 July for the International Full-time MBA commencing next January ;

Outstanding candidates from across the globe, who have demonstrated either excellent leadership or have evidenced a high
level of leadership potential.

A minimum of three years work experience is required. Your career development to date, accomplishments made in your work, and the impact you have on your organisation will be strongly emphasised in our selection. We are interested in what professional targets you have set for yourself and how the RSM MBA programmes fit into your plan.

Academic Excellence

Candidates must have a good university degree. Previous academic records are closely examined. All applicants are required to take the GMAT®. (GMAT® institution code is QK8-CX-30).

Leadership Potential

Energy, drive, emotional maturity, self-confidence, and ability to manage ambiguities are evaluated.

International Outlook

Since we emphasise diversity in the MBA Programme, students need to be able to interact and work with people from significantly different cultures and professional backgrounds. It is an advantage if your work has an international reach / scope.

English Proficiency

Lectures are conducted in English. Students are expected to have strong command of the English language. A personal interview is part of the selection process when the level of the candidates English language skills will be evaluated. Candidates whose native language is not English may take the TOEFL (RSM institution code is 0798) The IELTS can also be submitted. Applicants from China should also be aware that the TOEFL or IELTS is a requirement for the NESO certificate which is now required to gain admission to the Netherlands

Offered Benefits

Type of grant: Scholarships as tuition fee waivers (from final tuition fee installment). Furthermore, scholarships from the RSM Corporate Scholarship Programme offer career coaching, and the opportunity to negotiate a full-time career post-graduation with the grant giving company.
Value of grant: merit based scholarships with values between EUR 5.000 and the full tuition fee of EUR 38.000.
