The Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) scheme aims to increase the knowledge and awareness in UK universities of cutting edge industrial science, research and innovation.

Established in 2001, Leading University is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized city of Sylhet (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants). Officially accredited and/or recognized by the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, Leading University (LUS) is a small (uniRank enrollment range: 5,000-5,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Offered Benefits
Two years are covered by the EiR awards. The scheme’s worth is limited to a maximum of £25,000 annually (plus any relevant VAT) and is anticipated to cover the following:
- To spend 20% of their working hours at the host, the award recipient will receive compensation equal to 0.2 FTE of their existing wage. During the secondment, the EiR’s employer will continue to pay national insurance and pension contributions; only the basic wage will be paid.
- Travel expenses for the prize recipient to get to and from their host, as well as any necessary lodging.
- Project costs, conference attendance, meeting workshops, and training can all be included in order to help achieve the project plan’s objectives.
