The Research School for Media Studies (RMeS) is pleased to announce the RMa Workshop Grant 2025, offering Research Master’s and PhD students the opportunity to organize a workshop centered on their research. The grant provides up to €1,000 for event expenses and a personal fee of €250 for the organizer(s). Applicants are encouraged to invite leading scholars as guest speakers and must design a workshop that awards 1 EC to participants.

To be eligible for the Grant, applicants must be second-year Research Master’s (RMa) students or PhD candidates in the final stages of their research projects. PhD applicants must have completed their PhD within the last four years. Applicants must also be members of RMeS and submit a workshop proposal that aligns with the grant’s objectives. If applying as a group (2-4 students), the personal fee of €250 will be divided among the members.The Research School for Media Studies (RMeS) is a prominent interdisciplinary academic community focused on advancing the study of media in all its forms. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Open to students of all nationalities who are members of RMeS.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The grant is available for workshops focused on research within the field of media studies.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
  • Be a second-year RMa candidate or a PhD student in the final stages of their research project.
  • Have obtained their PhD no longer than four years ago (for PhD applicants).
  • Be members of RMeS.
  • Submit a workshop proposal detailing the theme, objectives, and estimated budget.
  • Ensure the workshop contributes to the RMeS educational program and awards 1 EC for participants.
  • Design an assignment for attendees, supervised by a professor, to guarantee academic quality.
  • If applying as a group (2-4 students), divide the personal fee of €250 among members.
