Applicants must be UK/Home students enrolling full-time in the BSc (Hons) Business and Supply Chain Management program at Northumbria University in September 2025. They must be self-funded and applying for government student finance.

RHA Benevolent Fund Scholarships in UK for Bachelor Founded in 1992, Northumbria University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Newcastle upon Tyne (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), North East England. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, Northumbria University (UNN) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 25,000-29,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Northumbria University (UNN) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 27 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: United Kingdom (including Jersey, Guernsey, Channel Islands, Ireland, and Isle of Man)

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: BSc (Hons) Business and Supply Chain Management

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:

    • Apply and enrol in the full-time BSc (Hons) Business and Supply Chain Management at Newcastle Upon Tyne campus in September 2025

    • Be a UK/Home fee status student and self-funded (not receiving sponsorship)

    • Apply for government student finance (Tuition Fee loan and/or Maintenance loan)

    • Consent to share financial information with the University via your finance provider

    • Meet at least one of the following:

      • Live in a low progression neighborhood (POLAR4/TUNDRA quintile 1 or 2)

      • Identify as Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic

      • Declare a physical/mental health condition, long-term illness, or learning difference on your UCAS form

Offered Benefits

  • A cash award of £5,000, distributed during the first academic year:

    • £416 by end of November 2025

    • £416 by end of February 2026

    • £835 by end of May 2026

  • Scholarship funds can be used for living costs or educational needs

  • Potential placement opportunities with RHA members

  • Scholars are expected to write a thank-you letter and provide a progress update to the donor

Application Process

Interested candidates must complete an online written application. Applicants are required to answer the question (in no more than 3,000 characters / 500 words):
“What are your career aspirations in Business and how would a scholarship help you to achieve them? Describe what difference this scholarship will make for you?”
