The University of Adelaide is inviting applications for the prestigious Responsible AI [RAIR] Centre PhD Scholarship. This is a unique opportunity to join a groundbreaking research initiative focused on ensuring the ethical and responsible development of artificial intelligence.

Applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents, New Zealand citizens, or international students who meet the University of Adelaide’s PhD admission requirements. For applicants interested in Theme 1, a background in Mathematics through an undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree is additionally required.

Responsible AI [RAIR] Centre Scholarship in Australia for PhD Founded in 1874, The University of Adelaide is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Adelaide (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), South Australia. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Department of Education and Training, Australia, The University of Adelaide (UofA) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 25,000-29,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. The University of Adelaide (UofA) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents, New Zealand Citizens, and International Students

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in PhD research within the RAIR Centre’s four specialised AI themes.

  • Admissible Criteria:

    • Must meet the eligibility requirements for PhD admission at the University of Adelaide.

    • For applicants applying under Theme 1, an undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in Mathematics is also required.
