The British Council’s Going Global Partnerships invites applications for the Introducing Research Environments 2025–26 grants. Funding of £25,000–£40,000 is available for 12-month projects starting January 2026, supporting the creation or significant development of research environment links between institutions.
Eligibility for the grants requires a joint proposal between one lead UK institution and one lead partner country institution from Brazil, Morocco, Pakistan, or Peru. The UK lead must be a higher education provider with degree-awarding powers or a not-for-profit research organization, while the partner institution must also be a higher education or not-for-profit research body as locally defined.
The British Council is the United Kingdom’s international organization for cultural relations and educational opportunities. It works globally to build connections, understanding, and trust between people in the UK and other countries through arts, education, English language programs, and research collaborations. By fostering partnerships and supporting innovation, the British Council aims to promote mutual understanding and create opportunities for individuals and institutions worldwide.
