The Government of Western Australia is offering a special bursary for international students enrolled in regional TAFE colleges. Get AUD$5,000 to support your studies, accommodation, and work opportunities in WA’s breathtaking regions.

Applicants must be international students holding a subclass 500 visa, with proof of visa grant or application submission. Enrollment must begin in February or July 2025, with continuous enrollment in a valid regional course pathway for at least one year. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All countries
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The bursary will be awarded for eligible study packages at TAFE regional colleges in Western Australia.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Be an international student holding a subclass 500 visa (must provide proof of visa grant or submission of application).
  • Commence studies in February or July 2025.
  • Maintain continuous enrolment over at least one year in a valid regional course pathway.
  • Maintain ongoing residency in the nominated regional location for the duration of the bursary period.
  • Meet academic and English language requirements prior to the commencement of each course.
  • Understand that the bursary will be paid in one of two ways:
    • Two payments of AUD$2,500 each semester (first payment approximately six weeks after the start of the first semester).
    • One payment of AUD$5,000 in the second semester.
  • Meet financial requirements for the course without relying on the bursary for tuition fees, resource fees, and/or material fees.
