Regional Accommodation Bursary for International Students in Australia for Course Established in 1989, Charles Sturt University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized town of Bathurst (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), New South Wales. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All international students
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by the university.
  • Admissible Criteria: To qualify for this scholarship:
    • You need to be a new international student starting studies in 2024 at specific campuses: Wagga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Port Macquarie, or Albury, enrolled in a full CRICOS-registered degree program.
    • You need to secure accommodation before December 31, 2023 if you will commence in Session 1 2024, or 31 May 2024 if you will commence in Session 2, 2024. The scholarship considers single-room occupancy in our campus buildings. Unfortunately, we can’t accommodate shared or family living arrangements.

Offered Benefits

  • The $1000 bursary will be credited to the student’s on-campus accommodation account.
  • Payment is made following Session 1 Census date.
  • The bursary cannot be used for any other transactions.
  • Awardees must pay the 2024 orientation tariff and acceptance fee.
  • The scholarship is non-transferable and cannot be deferred.
  • Must be enrolled in on-campus mode with a full-time load.
  • Any additional costs related to the residential agreement must be covered by the awardee.
