The Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is pleased to announce the availability of the QUT Real World International Scholarship for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. This scholarship aims to recognize academic excellence and support international students in pursuing their higher education goals at QUT. With this scholarship, recipients will receive a 20% coverage of tuition fees for their first two semesters of study, along with other benefits including participation in a scholarship award ceremony and access to additional development opportunities.

The eligibility criteria for the QUT Real World International Scholarship require applicants to meet specific requirements: they must satisfy the academic entry standards stipulated by QUT, hold a nationality from any country in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, or South America, demonstrate proficiency in English language as per QUT’s requirements for their chosen course, be initiating their studies at QUT for the first time, and secure an admission offer into one of the eligible courses offered by the designated faculties. Additionally, applicants’ academic records will be assessed, and factors such as educational disruption, medical circumstances, or financial needs are not considered for eligibility.

QUT Real World International Scholarships in Australia for Bachelor Founded in 1989, Queensland University of Technology is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Brisbane (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Queensland. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Department of Education and Training, Australia, Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: over-45,000 students) coeducational higher education institution. Queensland University of Technology (QUT) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study.   • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Any subject offered by QUT
  • Admissible Criteria: Applicants must meet academic entry requirements, have eligible nationality, meet minimum English language entry requirements, be commencing the course for the first time, and receive an admission offer into eligible courses offered by specific faculties. Other factors such as educational disruption, medical circumstances, or financial needs are not considered.

Offered Benefits

  • Covers 20% of tuition fees for the first two semesters (one year)
  • Access to scholarship award ceremony and other benefits
  • Eligible courses include those offered by the Faculty of Business and Law, Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice, Faculty of Engineering, and Faculty of Science.
    Conditions:
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout the course
  • Can take QUT-approved leave of absence after completing one semester
  • Cannot hold sponsorship, scholarship, etc., from another organization
  • Cannot hold any other scholarship except an Equity Scholarship
  • Cannot hold the scholarship upon obtaining Australian permanent resident status or becoming an Australian and/or New Zealand citizen.
    About the scholarship:
    The QUT Real World International Scholarship is available from all faculties. It is for students who have demonstrated academic achievement in their past studies and continue to achieve high standards for the duration of their studies. In addition to financial support, recipients are encouraged to make the most of their QUT experience through extra development opportunities, which build leadership skills and professional networks.

Application Process

Applicants do not need to apply separately for this scholarship. Eligibility is automatically assessed based on qualifications provided in the application for an eligible course at QUT. Applicants should ensure their official overall grade point average and grading scale information are uploaded with their application. Current QUT students are ineligible unless previously awarded the scholarship as part of a package offer.
