QUT PhD Scholarship in Evaluation of Hydrogen as a Fuel for Bulk Agricultural Drying Equipment in Australia Founded in 1989, Queensland University of Technology is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Brisbane (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Queensland. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Department of Education and Training, Australia, Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: over-45,000 students) coeducational higher education institution. Queensland University of Technology (QUT) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Australian citizens/permanent residents or New Zealand citizens are eligible to apply.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in PhD degree in Science, technology and engineering, and mathematics.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Candidates are Australian citizens, Permanent Residents, or New Zealand, citizens.
  • Meet QUT’s PhD admission requirements, including any English language requirements
  • They do not have previously completed a PhD
  • They able to commence in the program in 2023
  • Enroll as a full-time PhD student
  • They are prepared to be located at the project location(s) that QUT has approved and, if required, comply with QUT’s external enrolment procedures.
  • Ideally, they should have the following:
  • An engineering degree, preferably chemical engineering, with flow sheeting experience
  • An interest in renewable energy and hydrogen
  • Interest in computational modeling
  • Some computing/programming skills
  • Some knowledge of fluid dynamics.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: To apply for the grant, candidates must apply for a  PhD degree program at QUT University. After that, applicants should Email documents to  Prof Emilie Sauret . Then the EOI will be reviewed, and the applicant will be interviewed by the supervisory team, with the successful applicant then invited to submit their full application.
  • Supporting Documents: The students must present their Academic and research background, motivation to research in this field, and interest in this scholarship, including their CV and a 1-2 page research proposal covering their proposed approach to the research.
  • Admission Requirements: The students must meet the university’s requirements for a postgraduate degree.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants need to meet the English language requirements before submitting their expression of interest. We recommend booking a test as soon as possible.
