The University of Bristol is offering Postgraduate Teaching Scholarships in English Literature. These scholarships are open to new home/EU/international students commencing their studies in 2017/18. Recipients of the stipend will be expected to carry out three hours per week of undergraduate teaching during term time.

Postgraduate Teaching Scholarships in English Literature at University of Bristol in UK, 2017 for Master Established in 1909, University of Bristol is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Bristol (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), South West England. Eligibility Criteria

These scholarships are for new students commencing their studies in 2017/18.

Offered Benefits

  • A stipend of £4000 per annum, for three years. Recipients of the stipend will be expected to carry out 3 hrs per week of undergraduate teaching during term time (except during TB1 of year 1, when the selected candidates will undertake CREATE teacher training (see http://www.bris.ac.uk/staffdevelopment/academic/create/)
  • The award is renewed annually subject to satisfactory progress.

Number of Scholarships: There are two scholarships available.

  • Please apply in writing to Professor Andrew Bennett, A.Bennett-at-bristol.ac.uk, with a statement (no more than 1 page) of your suitability for the scholarship including your experience and/or suitability for undertaking to teach at this level.
  • To be eligible for this award you should also, before the deadline, have made an online application for a place to study. Please select English on the Programme Choice page and enter details of the scholarship when prompted in the Funding and Research Details sections of the form. Anyone wishing to be considered for this award who has already submitted an application to the University should write to Professor Ad Putter (with the statement described above).
