The selected candidate will be working within UQ’s Electromagnetic Innovations team, led by Professor Amin Abbosh. The candidate will access the required simulation tools and suitable computational resources.

Postgraduate Research Scholarships in Multi-Frequency Measurements Systems in Australia for Master Founded in 1909, The University of Queensland is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized town of St Lucia (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Queensland. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Postgraduate Research in engineering offered by the university
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the given criteria:
  • Applicants must have completed some research experience.
  • Applicants must have completed an approved university degree and Master of Philosophy.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an approved university with at least honors class IIA or equivalent; or
  • Coursework master’s degree with an overall grade point average of 5.65 on the 7-point UQ scale, which includes relevant research experience, approved by the dean; or
  • Postgraduate degree (at least one year full-time or equivalent) with an overall grade point average of 5 on the 7-point UQ scale, together with demonstrated research experience equivalent to honors class IIA, will be considered on a case-by-case basis; or

Offered Benefits

The university will provide an amount of $28,854 per annum (2022 rate), 3.5 years with the possibility of 1 extension in line with UQ and RTP Scholarship Policy and Living stipend, tuition fees.

  • How to Apply: The students need to make a postgraduate research admission application via the  university’s online portal. After getting enrolled, contact  Professor Amin Abbosh( ) to discuss your suitability for this scholarship.
  • To apply for the scholarship, students must follow the below while making their admission application:
  • Students must visit the scholarships and collaborative study section of the application.
  • Select ‘My higher degree is not collaborative.’
  • Select ‘I am applying for, or have been awarded a scholarship or sponsorship.’
  • Select ‘Other,’ then ‘Research Project Scholarship’ and type in ‘ELECTROMAGNETIC-ABBOSH’ in the ‘Name of scholarship’ field.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • A copy of your CV
  • Academic transcripts
  • Two reference letters
  • Degree transcripts
  • Passport
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree plus at least two years of relevant research experience, including research publications.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • TOEFL PBT – 570
  • TOEFL IBT – 87
  • IELTS – 7.0
  • IELTS – 6.5
