Priority is given to researchers in the historical sciences, art history, architectural history, and literature.
To be eligible for the Research Grants Academiae Belgicae, applicants must be officially affiliated with a Flemish or French-speaking university in Belgium and hold a PhD obtained no more than 12 years ago. They must demonstrate outstanding academic results and present an original research project that necessitates a stay in Rome.The Academia Belgica is an academic organization founded in 1939 to promote cultural, scientific, and artistic cooperation between Italy and Belgium.
