Postdoctoral Positions in Theoretical Physics and Biophysics, Germany for Fellowship Founded in 1734, Georg-August-Universität Göttingen (University of Göttingen) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Göttingen (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Lower Saxony. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Candidates from Germany are eligible to apply.
  • Study Subject: Postdoctoral degree in the field of Theoretical Biophysics.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Candidates are expected to have completed a Master’s degree and hold a PhD degree in Physics or a related field. They should have a strong interest in developing and applying theoretical approaches to biological problems, using both analytical and computational methods, and a strong background in statistical physics, theoretical biophysics or a related area.

Offered Benefits

The University of Göttingen will provide a salary group of 13 TV-L, 39,8 hrs/week) in the research area of theoretical biophysics. The position will start as soon as possible and is limited to 2 years, with the option of extension for one additional year.
