The Department of Political Science at Aarhus University invites applications for two full-time Postdoctoral Positions in Political Science. Funded by the prestigious Sapere Aude grant, this project explores innovative ways to strengthen democratic values through impactful advertising strategies.

Applicants must hold (or be close to completing) a PhD in Political Science or related fields such as Psychology, Communications, Media Studies, Data Science, or Economics. Ideal candidates will demonstrate expertise in areas such as democratic values, political advertising, behavioral intervention strategies, or quantitative research methods, including survey and field experiments. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Applicants from all nationalities are welcome.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Postdoctoral research in Political Science, particularly in the “Advertising Democracy” project.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
    • Hold (or be close to completing) a PhD in Political Science or relevant disciplines such as Psychology, Communications, Media Studies, Data Science, or Economics.
    • Demonstrate expertise in at least one of the following areas:
      • Citizens’ democratic values, political behavior, and polarization in Western democracies.
      • Political advertising, media communication, and behavioral intervention strategies.
      • Quantitative research methods, including survey and field experiments.
      • Proficiency in tools for creating and editing photo and video content.
    • Show evidence of scholarly accomplishments, including peer-reviewed publications.
    • Be willing to teach one course per year.
