Radboud University’s Faculty of Social Sciences invites applications for a Postdoctoral Position in Workplace Communication and Employee Wellbeing. The selected researcher will join the Work, Health and Performance (WHP) group to explore how workplace communication shapes employee health, wellbeing, and performance. The project focuses on leader communication using automated text analysis and on digital communication practices that influence work-life boundaries and mental wellbeing.

Applicants must hold or be close to completing a PhD in a relevant field such as work and organisational psychology, communication science, management science, or social psychology. They should have strong research and statistical skills, experience with survey or experimental methods, and familiarity with R or Python. Experience in automated text analysis is an advantage.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Open to applicants of all nationalities.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The position will be awarded in Work and Organisational Psychology, Communication Science, Management Science, Social Psychology, or related disciplines within the Faculty of Social Sciences at Radboud University.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Hold (or be close to obtaining) a PhD in a relevant discipline such as work and organisational psychology, communication science, management science, or social psychology.

  • Have a solid background in statistical research methods, with experience in survey-based research and experimental designs.

  • Experience or willingness to learn automated text analysis (using R and/or Python).

  • Demonstrate an interest in applied psychological research and interdisciplinary collaboration.

  • Possess strong project management, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Have experience with preregistration of publications and a strong record of English academic writing demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications.

The position allows creative academic input, offers opportunities for collaboration across Radboud University, and includes optional teaching responsibilities (up to 20%).
