Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Swedish and foreign national students can apply.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Students can apply for a postdoctoral study programme in Chemical Biology offered at the Karolinska Institute.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Experience in the following experimental techniques is a requirement:
  • molecular cloning techniques, generation of viral vectors, transfections, and viral transductions techniques mammalian cell culture,
  • analytical and preparative cellular methods such as flow cytometry and FACS protein biochemistry and protein purification
  • Strong experience in one or more of the following techniques is a great advantage:
  • proteomics methodologies, such as affinity proteomics, cellular fractionation, sample preparation for bottom-up proteomics
  • genetic engineering e.g. using CRISPR
  • work with mice, including relevant training and licenses

Offered Benefits

The winning candidates will be awarded a tax-free amount set for twelve months at a time, which will be paid on a six months basis by the Karolinska Institute.

  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must have a PhD in proteomics, chemical biology, or a relevant field.
  • Language Requirement: The students must show proficiency in English equivalent to the course English B/English 6 at Swedish upper secondary school.
