The School of the Environment, Geography and Geosciences (SEGG) International award is initiated by the University of Portsmouth to attract excellent students for a master’s program.

The program is exclusively open for students from all around the world for the academic year 2020-2021.

Portsmouth School of the Environment, Geography and Geosciences (SEGG) International Scholarship for Master Established in 1992, University of Portsmouth is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Portsmouth (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), South East England. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, University of Portsmouth is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Portsmouth offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Applications are accepted from around the world.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The studentships are awarded to pursue an MSc degree program in Engineering Geology, Geological and Environmental Hazards, Environmental Geology and Contamination, Crisis and Disaster Management, Geographical Information Systems, Coastal and Marine Resource Management.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must have to meet the following criteria:
  • Accept an offer on a full-time masters program listed below before Monday 6th July 2020, to commence in September 2020.
  • Achieve a first or upper second (2:1) honours degree from your University of Portsmouth undergraduate program.

Offered Benefits

The University will provide 50% off on course tuition fees for the academic year 2020-2021.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Applicants do not need to make a separate application. Candidates holding a 2:1 or 1st will automatically be considered for the opportunity .
  • Supporting Documents: Applicants must have to submit a degree certificate, references, and CV.
  • Admission Requirements: For being considered for the award, students have to meet the admission requirements of the university.
  • Language Requirement:  When you come to study at Portsmouth, you have to accomplish the English language requirements of the university.
