This partial tuition fee waiver supports academically outstanding candidates with financial need, offering them the chance to study at one of Europe’s leading institutions in economics and econometrics.
Eligibility for the Philip Hans Franses Scholarship is open to outstanding non-EEA applicants who have applied for one of the eligible bachelor programs at the Erasmus School of Economics. Candidates must demonstrate excellent academic performance with a minimum GPA of 8.0/10, meet all admission and mathematics exam requirements, and show clear financial need through a detailed financial statement.

• A €10,000 partial tuition fee waiver for the first year of study.
• The amount will be deducted directly from the tuition fee as part of the immigration procedure—students do not receive cash.

Application Process
Applicants must prepare and submit the following documents via Osiris Student during the application period (1 December 2025 – 1 February 2026), they must login on university portal:
• Motivation letter (max. 2 pages, Arial 11) outlining academic excellence, motivation to study at ESE, and financial need.
• Financial statement (max. 1 page) explaining financial circumstances.
• Budget plan (using the required template).
• Certified copy of the most recent academic transcript.
• Certified GPA statement (using the GPA template or an equivalent institutional statement).
