To make education accessible and affordable to its international students, Cranfield University has established the PhD Studentship in Software Engineering for Human-Centric AI-Driven Smart System for the academic year 2025-2026.

Applicants must hold a first or second class UK honours degree or international equivalent in a relevant field such as Software Engineering, Computer Science, AI, Data Science, HCI, or related disciplines. Ideal candidates should have experience in AI/ML, IoT, software development, or user-centered design, and a strong interest in using technology for global health and social impact.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities (Home and Overseas students are welcome)

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for MSc by Research or PhD in any subject related to:

    • Software Engineering

    • Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning

    • Human-Computer Interaction

    • Data Science

    • IoT Development

  • Admissible Criteria: Applicants must meet the following:

    • A first or second class UK honours degree or equivalent in a relevant field

    • Experience in software development, AI/ML, HCI, or IoT

    • Strong interest in technology for social good

    • Skills in user-centered design, dashboard development, or cloud-based systems are highly desirable.
