  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by the Umeå Plant Science Centre, with a focus on Plant Science, particularly in deep-learning conifer genomics.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
    • Have a degree at the second-cycle level or completed course requirements of at least 240 ECTS credits, including at least 60 ECTS credits at the second-cycle level.
    • Completed 90 ECTS credits relevant to the doctoral thesis project, with at least 30 ECTS in a subject closely related to the research topic.
    • Possess experience in standard molecular biological techniques or machine-learning.
    • Demonstrate very good written and oral English language skills.
    • Show proficiency in working with computers and programming (e.g., Linux Shell, R, Python, Julia).
