The Chair of Inorganic Chemistry II at Ruhr University Bochum is inviting applicants to apply for PhD Student Position in Digital Chemistry Molecular Machine Learning.

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in the area of Molecular Machine Learning applied to homogeneous catalysis.

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet all the following criteria:

    • Hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.

    • Have programming skills in Python.

    • Ideally possess experience in machine learning, quantum chemical software (e.g., ORCA, Gaussian), and catalyst modeling.

    • Possess foundational knowledge in organometallic chemistry and homogeneous catalysis.

    • Practical skills in synthesizing and handling air- and moisture-sensitive compounds and using analytical techniques such as NMR, IR, and GC/MS.

    • Ability to write and communicate effectively in English.
