Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: International students are eligible.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: PhD programme in Restoring Binaural Hearing in Children with Single-Sided Deafness taught at KU Leuven can be applied for.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must have resided or carried out their main activity in a different country from the host organization for at least 12 months prior to their recruitment.
  • The applicants must hold a keen interest in signal processing (CI, artifacts), statistics (R), matlab, and to (learn to) work with the neuroimaging toolbox Brainstorm.
  • The applicants must also have the interest to learn within an international network, spend secondments in a partner country, attend network-wide training events and conferences.

Offered Benefits

The students selected by KU Leuven will be offered funding that will cover the 2 years of a full-time PhD (3 270 € monthly gross salaries including employer and employee deductions and taxes) in Belgium, plus 600 € per month as Mobility Allowance and if entitled a Family Allowance.

  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must have a master’s degree in audiology, biomedical engineering, neuroscience, psychology, or a related field.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • TOEFL IBT – 79
